Arc flash protection systems are designed to detect arcs which occur during short-circuits in switchgear and to minimize the potential hazard to personnel and equipment by reducing the time of occurrence and disrupting the flow of energy feeding the arc flash.

For testing such systems, the ARC 256x Arc Flash Initiator simulates an arc by a xenon tube, very similar to a camera flash. This CMC accessory is positioned close to the arc flash sensor during testing. Via its 6 m (19.7 ft) long connection cable it is connected to the external interface socket of the CMC test set, which provides both the supply voltage as well as the signal that will trigger the flash.

The CT SB2 switch box is an accessory for the CT Analyzer which allows automatic testing of multi-ratio current transformers. It is connected to all taps of the current transformer and to the CT Analyzer. This allows the transformer ratios of all winding combinations to be automatically tested with the CT Analyzer. The CT SB2 can either be positioned next to the CT Analyzer or directly attached to it. With a combined weight of 11 kg, this testing system is easily portable and ideally suited to mobile, on-site use.

The EGIL circuit breaker tester is intended for circuit breakers with one contact per phase. The EGIL incorporates features commonly found on more complex test systems, but is designed to be smaller, simpler to use and less expensive than other similar test sets.
The EGIL has three channels connected together on one side and two separate time channels for measuring auxiliary contacts. Events at parallel contacts are recorded and displayed simultaneously via pre-insertion resistors.

It performs quick tests of all kinds of inductive voltage transformers (VTs) and capacitive voltage transformers (CVTs) for both protection and metering purposes.
Its light-weight design makes it ideal for on-site tests and calibration tasks in power system grids. As a manufacturer or testing lab you can use VOTANO 100 in your production facilities and test/development labs.

Omicron SB1 – Power Transformer Testing Switchbox

The CP SB1 is an accessory for the CPC 100 and simplifies measurement of three-phase power transformers.

The switchbox CP SB1 reduces wiring work at power transformers. Thereby, the time needed for testing can be reduced and, at the same time, safety can be significantly increased.

The transformer ratio and winding resistance are automatically measured in all three phases (in sequence) in all tap changer positions. The measurement results are recorded by the CPC 100 and can be analysed with the accompanying software package.
